Kitchen Knife Kissesit used to be bliss
escaping all promises
i let the blade taste
salty skin, fed it more sin
it became something more
transformed into no one cares
anymore, but ha
soon it was to feel
made me believe i was real
sit alone all day
hiding myself away
becoming more distant, yay?
loved the thought of me
constantly lonely
but alas i found that in
wounding my body
no one was around
i pushed you away
i regret that my friends, yes
but even when i stopped
nothing was left, not
even a slight whisper
of your breath, see this
is why i'm still here
caught between my many fears
still holding back tears
but that's just one side
i keep holding onto, why?
then the answer she
tells me is because
you are still alive...

You say things you don't mean when you're angry.
You call me a waste of space and that you can't stand me.

When the dust settles you say you don't mean it.
You say I should know better than to believe it.

As usual I foolishly upkeep your illusive hold on me.
I allow you to mute my thoughts and take control of me.

You promise and reassure me that it will never happen again.
That this is the last time and you will put it all to an end.

But I know promises only comfort fools,
Who readily allow others to pull the wool

Over our eyes because it is easier to swallow the lies.

with all of her being
she said it with earnest
but it didn't stop her from seeing
another man
it didn't stop her
from stealing an embrace
it didn't stop her
from giving him a taste
of what it was like to have all your memories, erased
in a second
in a flash
you know she came crawling back
promises that will hold true in time
but today, as of now
they're all lies
she cries
he cries
why would she tarnish something so beautiful
they both sit in darkness
heads hung low
whispering words to stop the bleeding flow
they take it step by step
day by day
until they both give in
what they really want
is each other
so he keeps a closer eye
and she shuts down her mind
they both give in
to compromise
love is so confusing
love hurts us so
but we all come back to it
no matter how it goes
"I love you"
Deathhe licks his lips
breathes in all the stench
people cower as he turns the bend
he's feared all over the world
but I'm still proud to be his girl

All these roads that I have taken led me to nowhere

Broken mirrors can't hide from my shame

as life rushes by
sometimes too confused to talk

What would advice be?

Plumes of DestinyAmong the mumbled plumes of destiny
We seek out a life of our own,
We strive to find ways to be,
And sometimes life stands against us.
The gentle timelessness of dust...
Upon window sills and tombs,
Cool air lingers without a breath,
Silent time passes from within us all.

And as Time eludes us,
Wholly with the passing confusions,
We drift aging and fully learning,
In the shadow of the past Royals.
As reasons scatter and fall like leaves in autumn
We ponder and sink in pensive depth,
The diverse connections we behold,
The family lines that spread like roots.

Among the mumbled plumes of destiny,
The great architect has greater
A Challenge to ThanatosYou hear the sneers beneath your laughter,
Like quivering arrows shot in the air.
Your own voice taunts and mocks you,
The living mirror of a lie’s contraire.

Making up excuses just to remain calm,
Soon out of things to make you feel numb.
Go on and hide the scars in the sun,
Your acting skills are second to none.

Every day’s fear swallows you up whole,
Giving birth to yet more doubt in your soul.
As each time is spent with a life on the edge,
You see yourself simply waiting for death.

Constantly at present with tales of the past,
You’re idly staring while others prance.
Where is that heart you wear on your sleeve?

I heard you crying last night
Did you stop trying last night?
You scream there is nothing left
You say there is nothing inside

You used to fly up so high
But you fell to pieces in the sky
You let go of your faith
And threw away your dreams
Try and find something left for us

I'll turn the lights out
Sleep for tonight
I have to leave,
So goodbye
You have to face this alone
You need to build your strength
You lost faith in me
And gave up
You know there is nothing
Left of us

You say it's too late
And nothing hurts
The feelings will come
And some will burn
But some will heal
If you keep strong

And it is only then as a direct consequence,

Am I truly able to write with confidence.

Even though your words are only temporary.

I deem your contribution as utterly necessary,

In order to refresh my wavering, selective memory.

My own validation depends on your approval.

Whether it is congratulatory or discouragingly brutal.

Your input is the one thing that is most crucial.

Can I call myself a writer if I don't believe in myself?

When I constantly seek approval from everyone else?

How can I then expect to make any sort of wealth?

Of a craft and skill I still think any
Screaming SomethingThere was something about your eyes
That just screamed “Save me!”
If you could only just scream out to.
Everyone to save you from.
There are just so many to save you
From. How I wish I could help.

I tried to look in your eyes and say to you
“Trust me! I can’t stand watching you hate it!
I could never stand watching you hate me!”
But your eyes went blank; I could see how
You stopped to look, no longer searching,
And you glared at me, knowing that I couldn’t

shoveling neutrality
over crazed and primed desires

DealerI met him on the street

(No! Not of me! I'm not into that
kind of dealing.)
I happened into dealing ice by chance.
Never thought I'd get into something like this.
But with tuition prices skyrocketing and
the economy falling to shit, I had no other choices.

Choices
Did I have them?
Was I in control?
Did I have enough strength to stay away from the
arms of the monster?
I was dealing, yes.
But I told myself I wouldn't get high.
I told myself I wouldn't.

But all that changed when I met, Lucas.

And much more than I can ever account for.
LOVE MEI'm back to being a kid again.
Runny nosed, disheveled hair, staring at my shoes.
All the while trying to blurt out the words: "I love you."

Underneath my fingernails, fresh dirt, fresh wounds
Scared to lift my head, I slump
"I dug these roses up for you."

You smiled at me, something sinister, something sweet
My eyes travelled from your hands, to your scratched up knees
I breathe
Will you tell me how you feel?
  Or will you keep me hanging on,
                until you feel like we've grown too old,
                                         to play
                                             red light,

When you go into your Sta.sh, click on your Sta.sh Writer.
On the right side of the controls there is a chain Link. Click Link and there is a box where you would put the URL of the picture you want embedded in your poem. Hit OK and your picture should be in the text box area. :)

I'm going to be bluntly honest here, invoking the phrase 'milky ways' right before a line about warm bodies makes me think of cum. Other than that, I really love the galaxies galaxies line - the repetition worked perfectly.
